Alma Ata University – The Khotmil Quran event took place on Wednesday (July 19, 2023) at Universitas Alma Ata (UAA) Yogyakarta during the first month of Muharram this year. The occasion was attended by hundreds of students and members of the public, including Prof. Dr. KH. Hamam Hadi, MS, Sc.D., Sp.GK (UAA Rector), Nyai Dra. Hj. Ida Rufaida Ali, Nyai Hj. Nafisah Ali Maksum, and Ustad Ahmad Fauzi (Supervisor of Tahfidz Putera PP Ali Maksum).
The student group Jam’iyah Mahasiswa Hufadz (JMH), in addition, was in charge of planning the Khotmil Quran event. The Khotmil Quran was formally opened by UAA Rector Prof. Dr. KH. Hamam Hadi, MS, ScD, SpGK, in his speech. He expressed his gratitude for the students’ considerable involvement in the event before the Khotmil and the recitation of the Tahlil. Additionally, he expressed his desire for the students to diligently memorize the Quran and pursue education. They will learn more about religion and become aware of the duties that are required of every Muslim if they exercise such diligence. He also stressed the value of having the Khotmil Quran event consistently every year.
