National Speech: Transformative Leadership in Ensuring the Realization of Indonesia Emas 2045

Alma Ata University – On Monday, October 24, from 12:00 to 16:00 WIB, Alma Ata University Yogyakarta held a national speech with the theme “Transformative Leadership in Ensuring the Realization of Indonesia Emas 2045” in the Hadratussyaikh KH. Hasyim Asy’ari Auditorium on the ninth floor of the Al-Musthofa Tower. This event coincided with National Santri Day, Alma Ata University’s anniversary, and the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (HC) KH. Ma’ruf Amin, gave the national speech at this ceremony. The welcome address was given by Prof. Dr. KH. Hamam Hadi, MS, Sc.D., Sp.GK, Rector of Alma Ata University.

Indonesia Raya and “Yalal Waton” were sung before the National Speech got underway. The welcoming speech was then provided by Prof. Dr. KH. Hamam Hadi, MS, Sc.D., Sp.GK, the rector of Alma Ata University, and Prof. Dr. KH. Ma’ruf Amin, the vice president of the Republic of Indonesia, gave the national speech.

The Rector of Alma Ata University, Prof. Dr. KH. Hamam Hadi, stated in his welcoming speech that Alma Ata University’s concern for the social, political, and educational elements of Indonesia is reflected in this national conversation event. The celebrations of the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birth, Alma Ata University’s anniversary, and National Santri Day all fell on the same day as the event.

Alma Ata University has conducted various national-level national conversation events as part of its commitment to the social welfare of the community, notably in efforts toward political education for Indonesian society. Collaboration between Prof. Df. H. Azyumardi Azra, M.Phil., M.A., CBE, and KH. Mustofa Bisri was used for the most recent conversation event. Alma Ata University has organized speakers who are not only renowned academics but also politicians and practitioners, as well as the second most important figure in the Republic of Indonesia, to speak today, which also happens to be the National Santri Day, the anniversary of Alma Ata University, and the celebration of the Birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The reasons why the theme of ‘Transformative Leadership’ was chosen for the current National Address were also discussed by Prof. Hamam Hadi in his speech.

“This topic is based on the leadership qualities exhibited by Prophet Muhammad, who is the most well-known leader in the world, and is intended to serve as a guide for current and future leaders in this nation. The Rector of Alma Ata University asserted that this subject needed to be brought to the public’s attention because Indonesia is about to enter a political year.

The Vice President stated, “I take delight in Alma Ata University’s accomplishments, and I anticipate that Alma Ata University will produce leaders who are both transformative and innovative, defined by virtuous conduct, and possessing not only a local but a worldwide view.

The previous leader of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) then went on to emphasize that Indonesia is predicted to achieve “Golden Indonesia” status by 2045, and that this presents an opportunity that must not be wasted.

It is essential to maximize this possibility—the Golden Indonesia—in order to raise a golden generation that is kind and profoundly rooted in religion. In the pursuit of fulfilling the Golden Indonesia vision by 2045, i hope to elucidate fundamental principles and fundamental ideas about transformative leadership through this event, he said.

The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia addressed the students in attendance before drawing to a close with a message that urged them to continue their studies and maintain their optimism in their efforts to realize Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia). He declared emphatically, “Learn, and I think we can achieve Indonesia Emas.”

The Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School’s custodian, Raden KH. Abdul Hamid Abdul Qodir, finished the ongoing National Speech with a prayer.
