Based on the Higher Education Ranking in 2019, which had just been released by the Ministry of Higher Education, the University of Alma Ata successfully entered into the ranks of the top 10 universities in Yogyakarta. The new Alma Ata University was officially established in 2015 in Bantul, Yogyakarta. At its age of less than 4 years, Alma Ata University has positioned itself as one of the trusted universities by ranking 9th out of the 10 best PTS in Yogyakarta along with seniors such as UII, Sadar, etc. At the national level, Alma Ata University is ranked 174th out of approximately 3500 universities in Indonesia. Meanwhile, among PTNU, Alma Ata University has been ranked as the 3rd Best PTNU in Indonesia.
Based on the higher education clustering version of the Kemenristek Dikti (2019), a clustering version which is the most based and most recognized ranking in the world of tertiary education in Indonesia. A remarkable note considering that at the time of its founding, UAA started from 0 and was ranked 2928 (2016). We were in the 2500th position a year later and were perched in the 250th best ranking in 2018. Going forward, Alma Ata University’s mission is to enter the top 100 PTS in Indonesia in the not too distant future.
