Alma Ata University invited Professor Joel Gittelsohn from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in order to improve International Publications

In order to improve the quality and quantity of international publications, the University cooperates with its partners both at home and abroad, among others through joint international publication activities. On this occasion, UAA together with Johns Hopkins University collaborated through the umbrella of the World Class Professor (WCP) carrying out a series of research activities together with joint international replication.

Initiated by the Rector of Alma Ata University, Prof. Dr. Hamam Hadi, MS., Sc.D., Sp.GK, Prof. Joel Gittelsohn from Johns Hopskins School of Public Health who is a Professor in the field of nutrition and public health is invited to the university.

In his remarks, Prof. Hamam said that this activity is also a form of realization of fruitful collaboration between the University of Alma Ata and Johns Hopkins University, which has been partnered since 2014. Several productive activities have been carried out in the past years such as curriculum development and joint seminars. “Let us make the best use of our opportunity to learn while cooperating with Dr. Gittelsohn in the international joint publication corridor.” He said.

Through his remarks at the opening ceremony of the World Class Professor program at Alma Ata University, Prof. Joel Gittelsohn shares stories of how he stepped up his research steps to becoming a productive researcher. Prof. Joel Gittelsohn believes that Alma Ata University has good capital to be able to continue to improve its achievements after this year managed to achieved as one of  the top 10 Private University in the city.

The opening ceremony which was held on Monday 23 September and at the same time started a series of activities that will be carried out starting from 19 September 2019 until 6 October 2019.
